Derek Investment LLC is an investment and strategic marketing company registered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, dedicated to identifying, developing and introducing exceptional technologies, businesses and investment opportunities to the United Arab Emirates, the GCC and selected international markets.

For the purposes of applicable data protection law — including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “UAE PDPL”) — Derek Investment LLC is the controller of the personal data described in this Policy.

We keep data collection to a minimum. The Website does not require you to create an account, and we collect personal data only in the following situations:

• Contact form submissions. When you use the contact form on the Website, we collect the information you provide: your full name, company name (optional), business email address, your selected area of interest (for example technology partnership, investment opportunity, market entry and expansion, or strategic partnership) and the content of your message.
• Direct correspondence. If you contact us by email or other channels, we collect the information contained in your correspondence.
• Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may automatically record limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, for security and operational purposes.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and the Website is not directed at them.

We use the personal data described above to:

• respond to your enquiry and correspond with you about partnership, investment, market entry or other opportunities you have raised with us;
• evaluate potential business relationships, in line with our role of connecting technology companies, entrepreneurs, investors and strategic partners;

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent (which you give by submitting the contact form), our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and developing business relationships, and, where relevant, compliance with our legal obligations. The Website uses a small number of third-party services that may process limited data on our behalf:

• Form delivery. Messages submitted through our contact form are delivered to us via a third-party form-processing service (FormSubmit), which transmits your submission to our email inbox and may apply spam protection, including a captcha.
• Web fonts. The Website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When fonts are requested, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which may receive your IP address as part of that request. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

These providers process data only to the extent necessary to provide their services. We do not currently use advertising networks or third-party analytics tools on the Website.

The Website does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies. Limited technical storage may be used by your browser or by the third-party services described above solely to make the Website function correctly (for example, spam-protection checks on the contact form). You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

We share personal data only with the service providers described in this Policy, with professional advisers where necessary, and with authorities where we are legally required to do so.
